Clark Brundin, director of the school of management studies at Oxford University and head of Templeton College, Oxford, has earned the term media don after his appearance in the Bedfordshire Times and Citizen. The paper carried a full-page advertisement for the Tempo electronics store, including "genuine Tempo customer comment" endorsing the "large selection at low prices". The genuine customer was none other than Professor Brundin, although he was in casual rather than academic dress.
