Higher education at last has its answer to James Carville and Mary Matalin, who simultaneously conducted a courtship and plotted opposing United States presidential campaigns in 1992. Following last week's letter from Alan Carr of the AUT accusing Natfhe of being "negative, confrontational and confused" comes a rather more conciliatory missive (page 13) on inter-union relations from Moira Carr, vice-chair of Natfhe's membership committee. No, the similarity of surname is not a coincidence - they are married.
