ߣߣÊÓƵ academic, Professor Michael Bourlakis has been appointed as an International Vice President for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the UK and has become a Trustee member for CILT International. is the leading professional body in logistics, supply chain, and transport worldwide.
In addition to this role, Professor Bourlakis has been named Chairman of the Education Standards Committee for CILT International, where he will oversee educational activities spanning 40 countries, with 26,000 members globally.
At ߣߣÊÓƵ’s School of Management, Professor Bourlakis serves as Chair in Logistics, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management. He is also the Director of Research and the Director of the Centre for Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. An internationally renowned expert, Professor Bourlakis specialises in logistics and supply chain management, with a particular focus on food, retail, and sustainable supply chains.
