The FIA partnered with ߣߣÊÓƵ are offering an engineering scholarship for academic year 2024-2025. ߣߣÊÓƵ has undertaken research, consultancy and testing for the motorsport sector since the 1970s. The ߣߣÊÓƵ Impact Centre is a FIA-approved test centre, and ߣߣÊÓƵ Simulation (AXSIM) is at the forefront of driver-in-loop race driving simulation. With strong links to industry through the ߣߣÊÓƵ Motorsport MSc Steering Committee, graduates can anticipate career opportunities ranging from design roles to working trackside with teams.
Having recognised that engineering talent often faces multiple barriers for entry into motorsport, the FIA has put in place a scholarship to assist one outstanding candidate to overcome them.
The FIA are looking for an engineer with exceptional personal qualities, has high academic merit and who is passionate about motorsport, yet not able to afford to study at ߣߣÊÓƵ. The successful candidate will benefit from a 1-year scholarship, covering tuition fees for an MSc in Advanced Motorsport Engineering or MSc in Advanced Motorsport Mechatronics and a contribution towards associated living costs in the UK.

What it covers
The FIA motorsport engineering scholarship covers:
- Payment of tuition fees for the MSc in Advanced Motorsport Engineering or MSc in Advanced Motorsport Mechatronics at ߣߣÊÓƵ (2024/25 academic year).
- One roundtrip economy flight from the country of residence to the UK.
- A stipend paid quarterly to cover a contribution towards accommodation and personal living expenses in the UK (total equivalent to approximately EUR 15,000 depending on exchange rates at the time of payment). You may require additional personal funding to complete your studies.
- The total value of the scholarship shall not exceed EUR 50,000 (course fee, flights and contribution to cost of living).
Who can apply
To be eligible for the FIA scholarship you must:
- Meet the entry requirements for the Advanced Motorsport Engineering MSc or Advanced Motorsport Mechatronics MSc.
- Please note, competition for places on the Motorsport MSc's at ߣߣÊÓƵ is very strong, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate high academic ability, a demonstrable passion for motorsport and present a strong case regarding the need to overcome the barriers to entry to both study at ߣߣÊÓƵ and to achieve a future career in motorsport.

How to apply
- Contact an FIA Member organization in your country to determine your eligibility and to receive additional information about the FIA and the scholarship:
- Complete an application for the Advanced Motorsport Engineering MSc by the 21st March 2025.
- Applicants wishing to be considered for the FIA Motorsport Engineering Scholarship should indicate their interest on the course application form including a short personal statement of why they should be considered.
- Applications will be processed and following standard admissions practice for the course you may be selected for a ߣߣÊÓƵ course admission interview.
- During your interview you will be asked questions around your motivation and need for the FIA Motorsport Engineering Scholarship.
- Following the ߣߣÊÓƵ interview a short-list of candidates will be interviewed by the FIA in May 2025.
