Critical to the future success and development of airports is the need to understand how their operations impact the environment and in identifying solutions to mitigate these impacts.

This short course introduces you to the theory and practices of airport environmental planning. The course also includes an airport noise-modelling workshop by CAA and an airport visit.

Course structure

The course includes an airport noise modelling workshop and an airport visit. All delegates will receive an Attendance Certificate.

What you will learn

Delegates attending this course will be able to analyse in a critical manner the characteristics of the key manifestations and dimensions of airport environmental externalities and formulate a plan with a diverse range of strategies to mitigate and solve them, as well as and being able to communicate it to the public. In addition, you will benefit from having basic knowledge on the use of the FAA Integrated Noise Modelling software for noise policy proposes.

ߣߣÊÓƵ is situated in Bedfordshire close to the border with Buckinghamshire. The University is located almost midway between the towns of Bedford and Milton Keynes and is conveniently situated between junctions 13 and 14 of the M1.
